Photography of a 4 Year Old

A certain 4 year old loves to use my camera. She got a hold of it one day and snapped a bunch of pictures that show life through a 4 year old's eyes. Here's what she saw...

Dad getting ready to work in the garden
Photos of beautiful artwork.
Lydia's flip flops
A Tinkerbell book
Flowers on the table
Another Dad picture (did you notice that he isn't actually working in any of the pictures?)

The back patio after the rain
Diesel's muddy foot prints on the concrete

I'm sure that Grace will be ready to take a boatload of pictures if you ever need a photographer.

More Soccer

I'm a bit surprised hat I don't have more soccer photos since that how we've spent the past month on Saturdays. We've sat through snow, rain, wind, cold and finally a bit of sun last week. I'm not completely sure that Grace loves soccer, but she sure does love spending ever Saturday morning playing soccer with her friends.
These amazing girls love to hang out with each other week and week. Every once is a while they kick the ball around the field too!

Daddy's A Winner

Paul ran the Green Bay Cellcom 1/2 marathon last month. The girls know that Paul and I both run, but they don't often see us in action. So, I got Daddy's biggest fans ready to cheer him on for his race.

Grace colored big signs for the big event. We were going to surprise him the signs when we got to the race, but Grace wouldn't have it. As soon as Paul got home from work on the day she colored the signs, she raced to show him the hidden posters.
Is was a chilly, windy morning so I the girls preferred to watch Paul from the back of the fan as he ran by. Unfortunately, I was too busy taking care of these 3 girls to get pictures of Paul from any of our random cheering spots.
Here's my great handsome seconds before crossing the finish line! We're so proud of you!
The girls and Daddy! Since we didn't show up to the finish line until moments before Paul finished the race, Lydia was (and still is) convinced that Paul is the winner and beat everyone else!

Paul's a winner as far as the girls are concerned. Lydia tells everyone that "there Daddy is a winner and he won a medal!" Lydia went so far as showing all her friends the medal and insisting that he wear the medal in order to sit next to her at dinner.

Were so proud of you Paul! You did a great job!

Gymnastics with Friends

So, I am determined to get caught up on the blog (yet again).

A while ago... you know since I've been a bit behind... the girls were able to bring a friend to gymnastics class. Actually only Grace was able to bring along a friend to the actual class, but Lydia had a friend along to play with before and after class.

Here are a few pictures of the girls and their great pals.

Lydia chilling in her class.
Sydney, Grace, Jordyn, and McKenzie stretching at the start of class.
Jo and Lydia waiting so patiently for Grace and Sydney to finish class so that they could go to the park.

Bath Time

What's not to love about bath time?

I can list many things, 3 little girls fighting over tub space, 3 heads of hair to wash, condition and rinse, water splashed everywhere in the bathroom, and the list goes on...

But seriously, there are many reasons that I do love bath time. I love the smell of clean little girls. I adore Ella's super tight curls that come after each hair sopping. I love that bath time means I am so close to bed time.

And, seriously what's not to love about these three cute girls?!

A Day at the Park

A couple weeks ago we went to a park in Milwaukee after visiting friends in the morning. The girls loved playing at the "ocean."

It was great to have a change of scenery from our usual area parks.

Home Depot Tour

If our family has a need to go to Home Depot, Paul is usually the one to take them. However, at the end of April, I scheduled a Home Depot tour. Thankfully the store wasn't very busy in the morning when a group of about 25 children invaded the store for a fabulous tour.

The kids spent the morning checking out hand tools, carpet, lawn tractors, sheds, washers, dryers, overs, refrigerators, paint, wires and other areas of the store.
